WHEREAS, the Forty-Sixth Annual Meeting of the American Society of Mammalogists, convened June 12-16, 1966, at the California State College at Long Beach, has been characterized by great productivity, pleasant associations, and profitable proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the attractive facilities made available and the activities provided have enhanced the pleasant entertainment and hospitable reception enjoyed by the members of the Society, their families and friends;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that sincere thanks and appreciation of the Society are extended to Ross Hardy, Chairman, and to other members of the committee on arrangements, to Frank Bowman, Director of Housing, and to the ladies of the local committee who gave so generously of their time and talents in making this meeting distinctive in the history of the Society. These expressions of gratitude are also extended to Carl W. McIntosh, President of California State College at Long Beach; W. F. Monahan, General Manager, and John Prescott, Curator, of Marineland of the Pacific; and to organizations and institutions which generously aided in the planning and execution of this most pleasing and profitable conference: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, San Diego Zoological Garden, San Diego Museum of Natural History, California Department of Fish and Game, Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, and various cooperating departments of California State College at Long Beach.
